The 1st open mic night was held in Rectors Room and it drew a large crowd.
There was only time for 12 readers, but plenty of room for all to fit. Which was kinda good 'cos we all went.
As you can imagine the room is quite stately and made a great venue. It gave the evening the feeling of an event as opposed to a bunch of people sitting around chatting.
I read out my draft of 'The Tic Tac Men' and it went down pretty well. I was happy with it.
The range of styles, prose and subject matter was massive and quite a treat. Looking forward to the next one and aiming to try for a completely different piece and style.
