Ever wondered what a 600 year old book smells like?
No? How about a whole library full of the worlds oldest collection of books - all over 500 years old.
The smell was amazing but the interior really was something to see. The architecture and craftsmanship!
The they took us downstairs into the dungeon where even more books were stored. Incredible.

ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of the Trinity College library in Dublin where I went to see the book of kells many years ago. Certainly had a real sense of history.
