POSTCARD | Hey, Abbott!!

Turns out Abington has plenty to offer the history buffs. Add this to the 'Gee, I didn't know that about Abington' list.

Scooting along at pace to and then from the bustling metropolis that isn't Abington, I came upon the Abbey Gardens.

It's the ruins of the Abbey that King Henry VIII tore down stone by stone after breaking off with Rome. There is literally nothing left and it was one of the BIGGEST! and most well-regarded abbeys of it's time.
