Who knew that in Merrye Ye Olde Englande, they were doing the time warp? And yes, they were gay - not that there's anything wrong with that.
Monday night saw us dragging out our inner Scotsman.
The Summer School staff have a varied set of activities for us and none more so than calling in a dance teacher to clear the decks and hook up the CD player with a few tunes for a few jigs.
It wasn't quite as traditional in its manner as I expected it. And I wasn't sure that we'd end up being our own entertainment. But soon enough, she had us all high-land flinging and making me remember those year 11 dancing classes. This version was more fun than they were.
It wasn't all that complicated and we all picked it up quickly enough - if you think 'Pride of Erin' you'll have a rough idea.
There was a jump to the left....a step to the right. Some put their hands on their hips.....you get the picture (or as we like to say during informal Australian slang lessons: "Pict-cha!").
As we progressed around in the great circle of Ye Olde Dance Steppes to meet the next group of 3, the Aussies lit up and led the way with the very traditional: "EhhhhhhHHHHHH!!!!".
Just as we got going we seemed to stop and I think the vast majority were ready for more. But the ol' showbiz adage about leaving 'em wanting more wasn't far off the mark either.
