STREET TALK | Australian Questioned Over Money Laundering

An Australian man was questioned last week at Exeter College, Oxford over his questionable efforts to launder money.

The man, a so-called "creative writer", appeared to be executing a scam whereby he purchased laundry tokens to do his washing. He then passed these tokens off as one pound coins at the Undercroft Bar to pay for a pint of Guinness.

With tokens valued at £1.25 and the pint valued at £3, it appears that this well-dressed con artist late of Australia has either no taste for laundry or merely an appetite for clean drinking glasses.

Having been under no suspicion at all, the man handed himself him into the Summer School office feigning an innocent mistake had befallen him quote "they look the same".

Given his enrolment in the creative writing course, the man was found guilty of making a poorly crafted excuse with little imaginative details and ordered to undergo community service in the form of a blog entry recounting the experience.

Judgement of the blog takes place immediately and readers are due to pass sentence any minute.....now.
