The JCR resembled the set of a TV show hosting the curtain call for the last episode of a much loved classic.
As the cast assembled one last time, I couldn't help thinking: "Well at least all the practice we had milling about aimlessly in the street pretending to decide where to go, what to do....well it's paid off clearly!"
This scene resembled a show where each player took their final bow, exiting the stage one at a time and enjoying each moment.
Of course the audience for this cast lies ahead and aren't they in for a treat?
All that was missing was the red carpet and flowers thrown from balconies - 'cos for some once the tears started there was no amount of champagne moments that would stop them.
So everyone it's not goodbye - more like....see you later.
